DynamoBot at DLG Feldtage 2026: Presenting WeSee for Retrofit Spot-Spraying
DynamoBot presented WeSee at DLG Feldtage 2026, showing how retrofit spot-spraying can help farms move from blanket spraying to targeted application without replacing a sprayer that already works.

DynamoBot at DLG Feldtage 2026: Presenting WeSee for Retrofit Spot-Spraying
From 16 to 18 June 2026, DynamoBot took part in DLG Feldtage in Bernburg-Strenzfeld.
At our stand, we presented WeSee and introduced a practical opportunity for farms: moving from blanket spraying to spot-spraying without replacing a sprayer that already works.
Visitors could see the WeSee setup directly, follow live explanations at the booth, and discuss how camera-based plant detection, edge-AI, and individual nozzle control could fit into existing sprayer systems.
For us, the event was a valuable opportunity to speak with farmers, contractors, research partners, and agricultural machinery experts about one central question:
How can farms reduce unnecessary treatment and lower input use while continuing to use the machines they already own?

Showing WeSee at the booth
At the booth, visitors could see the WeSee setup directly.
The system combines:
- camera-based plant detection
- edge-AI processing
- individual nozzle control
- a retrofit setup for sprayers already in use on the farm
The main idea behind WeSee is simple: farmers should not need to replace a working sprayer to move from blanket spraying to spot-spraying.
Instead, WeSee is designed to add plant detection and targeted application to existing sprayer technology.
Visitors were especially interested in the practical details: how the camera is mounted, how the AI detects plants, how the nozzle control works, and how the system could fit different sprayer setups.

Why retrofit spot-spraying matters
This point came up often because many farms already work with sprayers that are technically functional.
At the same time, farms face pressure to reduce input use, lower chemical costs, and make field operations more efficient. In many cases, the question is not whether spot-spraying is useful. The question is how to make the change practical.
Buying a new spot-sprayer is one possible route. For many farms, however, a retrofit can be the more realistic first step.
By upgrading the existing sprayer with AI-based plant detection and individual nozzle control, farms can start spot-spraying without replacing the full machine.
For farms, this can mean:
- keeping existing sprayer equipment in operation
- reducing unnecessary treatment on bare soil
- lowering herbicide or fertiliser use compared with blanket spraying
- reducing tank refills and mixing time
- enabling spot-spraying without replacing the full machine
For many visitors, this retrofit approach was the most important part of the discussion.
What we heard in the conversations
The discussions at DLG Feldtage were direct and practical.
Farmers, contractors, and machinery professionals asked about installation, compatibility, operating modes, field conditions, and the next steps for farm demonstrations.
Several visitors made the same point: they already have a sprayer that works. They are interested in spot-spraying, but they do not want to buy a full new machine if a retrofit solution can do the job.
This feedback fits the way WeSee is being developed.
The system is designed for existing sprayer booms and for practical use in real field conditions.
RapidFire Startup Pitch: second place on the DLG Plaza Stage
During DLG Feldtage, DynamoBot also took part in the RapidFire Startup Pitch on the DLG Plaza Stage.
In this format, 12 start-ups each had two minutes to present their solution.
Our CSO Maximilian Humpesch presented WeSee and explained how DynamoBot brings camera, edge-AI, and individual nozzle control to existing sprayers.
We were pleased to receive second place in the pitch, selected by the audience.
For our team, this was a strong signal from the event: AI-based retrofit technology for existing agricultural machinery is a topic that was understood by the audience and discussed further at our stand.

Thank you to everyone who visited us
We would like to thank everyone who visited our stand, joined the booth presentations, spoke with our team, or listened to the pitch on the DLG Plaza Stage.
The discussions at DLG Feldtage gave us valuable feedback for the next steps of WeSee development and field work.
We will continue with follow-up conversations, field discussions, and the next steps for WeSee.
